 Umahi told to move out of govt house immediately

Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has told Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi to pack up and leave the Government House immediately following the Federal High Court ruling that disqualified him from continuing as Governor.

HURIWA asked Umahi to step down from the position of governor in compliance with the judgement of the court delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo.

The group said it was unfortunate that a man who has worked as a governor of a state for seven years will be seen casting aspersions openly against a judge of a competent court of law which is another of the three arms of government.

”HURIWA sees this as the height of executive rascality for Umahi to use unprintable words to describe a judge of a federal high court and indeed one of the finest jurists in Nigeria given his prodigious intellectual output as an author of outstanding legal books, the group said in a statement signed by Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko

“This disrespectful attitude of Umahi demonstrates the truism in what we had said previously that he, Umahi lacks the temperament to be the president of Nigeria. If by mistake or accident Mr. Umahi becomes the next President, then he will pocket the judiciary and install his puppets as judges to do his biddings,”

“His unguarded utterances and his calculated but unwarranted diatribe targeted at the judiciary of Nigeria is, to say the least disappointing.

“It is even sadder that INEC is yet to comply and enforce the judgment of the court. Why is INEC also disrespecting the law? Why is a man already stripped legally of the authority of the Governor of Ebonyi State still parading about as governor and the law enforcement agencies are aiding and abetting illegality?

“INEC being a constitutionally created body must abide by the binding judgment of the competent court of law recognized by section 6 of the 1999 constitution

“The saddest reality is, if Dave Umahi was in PDP and has lost his position to the APC, INEC would have complied with the Judgment of the federal high court because for now there is no superior ruling suspending the enforcement of that judgment.

“So INEC should immediately issue the certificate of return to the nominees sent by the PDP as directed by the court of law pending the determination of the appeal instituted by the former, Mr Dave Umahi challenging the federal high court ruling.”

Recall that a Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, sacked Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, and his Deputy, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe, over their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress.

The judgement, delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo, held that the total number of 393,042 votes Umahi secured at the March 9, 2019, Ebonyi State governorship election belonged to the PDP, hence could not be legally transferred to theAPC

The court noted that both Umahi and Igwe’s defection to the APC, not only threw out the PDP, but also the votes that belonged to the party.

I cannot stress strongly enough how much the desire for sex impedes the male brain; I’ve made far more stupid decisions in my life based on my libido than I ever did in pandering to my addictions. Do not expect men to see sex the same way that you do. They don’t.

I would also recommend very strongly to avoid going anywhere with somebody you don’t know and have not met before; if you are meeting somebody for the first time, via a dating app for example, meet them in a public place, don’t accept a lift in their car or go to any secluded places until you know them better.

Most men are normal people and not predators. Some are, however, and in today’s online world it is easier than ever before to hide one’s true character from another and reveal it only when it’s too late.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been reportedly fined the sum of N190 million just after shutting down the London O2 Arena with a well-rated concert.

According to a tweet by Marvin Abbey, the ace singer was fined for flouting the O2 Arena’s 11pm curfew.

Marvin wrote on Twitter: “Davido was supposed to finish his concert at the O2 @ 11pm. The O2 have a strict 11pm curfew. For every minute you go past 11pm you have to pay £10,000. Davido said he don’t care. He finished the concert at 23:34. That’s £340,000 fine. Mental!

Reactions As Russia And Ukraine Finally Makes An Agreement Amid The Ongoing War


 According to recent updates, the Russian and Ukrainian government has finally come to an agreement amid the ongoing war which has lasted for eight days. The agreement by both countries came in after a recently held meeting in their neighboring country, Belarus.

Both countries have finally agreed to a joint provision of humanitarian corridors and the possibility of a temporary cease-fire for the sake of many civilians who are greatly affected by the war.

According to reports, Ukraine has agreed with Russia to deliver aid to affected civilians and also help in their evacuation. They would also deliver food to areas which are greatly affected by the war. 

Reacting to the update, many people have shared their thoughts in the comment section after it was posted by The Kyiv Independent on Twitter.

The Governor-elect of Balyesa State was sacked by the Nigeria's Supreme Court because of irregularities in his names as they appeared on his certificates and affidavits. It is an avoidable mistake.

To avoid such thing, you need to note this.

By "SS3" , it is expected that every students should have perfected their three names identification on all documents and mastered how it should appear.

Educators & Parents Should Take note that National recognition of names order on official documents begins with their O'Level certificates (WAEC & GCE).


Let them know that what they registered in O'Level exams is what they should start having across all documents of identification hence.

In cases of change of names teach them that they will have to get a "court affidavit" followed by NEWSPAPER PUBLICATION (they should buy the original paper and make photocopies, that is their reciept)."

Also take note that the moment they register for the National Identity Card "(NIN)" , They "CANNOT" change their names again.

Errrr... It's not like they cannot sha, it's just that the process is similar to pulling down another wall of Jericho, so be ready to march up and down. Plus the financial implications is as high as N300k (and fast track fees is not part of this), the stress is plenty 

So, Name Crafting is very essential. Infact how their names appeared on their Jamb UTME Registration is what they will carry all through school and that is what they will have on their certificates... So don't joke with their name crafting again

Your NIN, BVN, VOTERS CARD, INTL PASSPORT, DRIVER'S LICENSE, and every official document should reflect this.


Sit down with your Preteen or Teenager, agree on the three names they want to bear for the rest of their lives, help them identify last Name First Name and Middle Name, teach them the order. 

Then let them learn & master how to write it accordingly. 

For Educators (esp those dealing with SS3).

Take time to also run the above with them in class.

You can also send a note to the parents asking them to write out the order they want their child names to appear on their WAEC certificates.

Russia Vs Ukraine: UN States Position, Sends Strong Warning To Putin

UN Secretary-General, António Guterres has announced 20 million dollars for humanitarian support in Ukraine, saying protecting civilians must be ‘Priority Number One’ in supporting the people.

Guterres also urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring his troops back to his country, adding that he should not begin what may be the most devastating war since the start of the century.

Putin had listed three conditions to put an end to the standoff, advising Kyiv to renounce its bid to join NATO, to partially demilitarize and to recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea, the Black Sea peninsula that Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

But, Ukraine rejected Putin’s demands.

“Today, I’m announcing that we will immediately allocate 20 million dollars from the Central Emergency Response Fund to meet urgent needs,” Guterres told journalists in New York on Thursday.

Guterres reiterated that the UN and its humanitarian partners are “committed to staying and delivering, to support people in Ukraine in their time of need.”

According to him, Russian military operations inside the sovereign territory of Ukraine “on a scale that Europe has not seen in decades, conflict directly with the United Nations Charter.”

In spite of a sustained UN-led and international diplomatic push to avert military action in Ukraine, President Putin did just that, triggering a barrage of reactions, beginning with the UN chief condemning the move and appealing for peace.

“All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the purposes of the United Nations,” Guterres said, quoting chapter
