STAND WITH ISRAEL: CHRISTIANS MUST NOT TURN THEIR BACKS ON THE JEWISH PEOPLE

Silence is no longer neutrality; it is a failure to confront evil. For centuries, the Jewish people have endured persecution, expulsion, and murderous hatred. Yet today, as Israel fights for its very survival, global voices demand its surrender and retreat. Christians must refuse to stay silent or turn their backs while Israel defends its people and its territory from annihilation.

The security crisis is stark and undeniable. On 7 October 2023, Hamas launched a brutal attack on Israeli civilians, followed immediately by Hezbollah rockets from Lebanon. No sovereign nation can stand aside while groups committed to its total destruction attack its citizens. Condemning Israel’s defense while ignoring relentless terrorism creates a dangerously distorted picture of the conflict.

History reveals the true nature of this battle. In 2005, Israel voluntarily withdrew from Gaza, giving Hamas a choice to build a prosperous society. Instead, they weaponised billions in global aid and Iranian funds to construct a massive terror network. Hamas does not want to build a nation; they want to destroy one. Now, they demand withdrawals from Lebanon, Gaza, Judea, and Samaria solely to re-arm and repeat October 7th over and over again.

The false narrative that labels Jews as foreign colonialists must be condemned and rejected. The modern State of Israel did not invent Jewish history; it inherited a thousands-of-years-old connection deeply embedded in Scripture and identity. Centuries of exile did not erase the Jewish people, nor did successive foreign rulers diminish their ancestral ties to Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria.
This crisis demands action beyond thoughts and prayers.

Christians can care about Palestinian civilians without excusing Hamas, and must firmly refuse to rewrite history for political convenience. Furthermore, Christians in Britain, Ireland, and Spain must unequivocally confront rising antisemitism, ensuring Jewish communities can walk the streets, attend synagogues, and raise their families without fear.

Ultimately, a people can be exiled without disappearing, and a return to a homeland does not make history fictitious. We must not be deceived: Israel is the defender, not the aggressor. Anyone who loves truth, values freedom, and honors the Bible must stand firmly with Israel and the Jewish people in this critical hour.
