 EKWUNIFE BEGINS ELECTRIFICATION OF SOME COMMUNITIES IN ANAMBRA CENTRAL






As Alor, Ojoto, Oraukwu, Abacha communities receive first batch of solar powered street lights to be installed in designated areas



The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife has began the electrification of some communities in Anambra Central Senatorial District with the distribution of Solar Street Lights to the communities for installation at designated areas. 


Ekwunife was represented by a team led by the former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Henrietta Agbata.


At Ojoto, the project team met with the President General of the community, Chief Dona Anozie to handover the necessary documents to him and equally brief him on the project.


A similar event occurred in Alor, Abacha and Oraukwu communities where the project team met with the President Generals of the town unions, Chief Christian Okudo, Hon Ifeanyi Okeke Obeta, Chief Barr. (Dr) Cyril Ejidike respectively. Also present were some members of the town union executives, critical stakeholders of the communities and PDP ward executives.


During the visits, the leader of the team, Lady Henrietta Agbata who spoke on behalf the Senator sought for the cooperation of the communities as the engineers commence the installation of the Street Lights at strategic locations. She equally assured the community leaders of the Senator's commitment to attract more dividends of democracy to them.


In their reactions, the leaders of the communities visited appreciated the Senator for facilitating the street light projects. They expressed confidence in her ability to represent them well and were grateful for her commitment to the needs of the constituents. 


The team will also visit Akwukwu, Ideani and Abatete in the coming days to conclude the first batch distribution and installation of the solar street lights.


Recall that Senator Uche Ekwunife recently handed over some of her completed projects, including the hand over of a completed Multipurpose School Hall Project she sponsored at St. Joseph's Primary School Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area last week. More of the completed projects in the Senatorial District is set to be commissioned, including the Road projects she attracted to the District. Also note that the Senator has facilitated employment for over 139 constituents in the Federal Civil Service. These are all in line with her promise to provide quality representation to the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District.
