I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR TINUBU AND AMAECHI.

NIGERIANEWSLITE

I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR TINUBU AND AMAECHI.

When Tinubu started his moves to support Buhari after 3 failed attempts to get back to power in 2014,Pa Adebanjo elaborately lectured Tinubu on the danger of the  course of action he was taking.

He told Tinubu not to trust Buhari. That Buhari is part of the irredentists extremists Northern power block that believes on thier wing of the North being  in power in Nigeria in perpetuity.

Pa Adebanjo told Tinubu that this power block of the North betrayed Awolowo, jailed him and disgraced other Yoruba leaders.

They did the same to Abiola. They would do the same thing with him. Tinubu did not listen.

I have no sympathy for Tinubu or Amaechi.

Amaechi used the funds of his people to betray them and promote the interests of the enemies of his people.

Amaechi danced on the grave of Chief Melford Obiene Okilo,a doged fighter for the  Minority cause in Nigeria.

Amaechi thought he will be a better slave,by betraying his people and working for thier enemies.

He refused to listen to Okilo's former personal physician, who later became governor of Rivers State,Peter Odili.

Amaechi's grass to grace story began with Odili, who made him a member of the Rivers State House Of Assembly from been a nobody.

Odili hoisted him on the Rivers people as a speaker for 8 years and then made him gov.

Amaechi, bitten by the Olighacic bug, betrayed Odili, betrayed his people, betrayed his own president and worked with Tinubu to dethrone Jonathan, his fellow Rivers man,who later moved to Bayelsa State. But Jonathan's  wife,Faka,is from Rivers State.

Tinubu and Amaechi have been used and dumped. They were all warned. These are the arrowheads of the wasted 8 years Nigeria has had since 1960. I can name all of them one by one,but I live you with that to name as an assignment.

Non of them will be president. And all of them will be so utterly disgraced that, they may end up in jail, just like Awolowo and Abiola did.

That is the price of thinking that the enemies of your people will be your best friends.

What this 2 with thier followers have led Nigeria through, will take more than 50 years to undo. But the impact on them will start by Monday.

For those who don't know,I don't believe neither Tinubu nor Amaechi nor thier followers are smart people.

Smart people learn from thier history, learn from thier environment and listen to thier elders.

And so let the abuse start. Of course Tinubu will start it. Amaechi will soon follow.

In all this,it is the Nigerians that I again, will blame. Why do you think a good thing will Come from a bad thing? Why do you think thieves, criminals, betrayers, will not be what they are; thieves, criminals, betrayers

Let's  not forget that there are 2 Northern power blocks, according to Dr Edwin Madunagu.

Madunagu in his several published works on Nigeria's Political history and struggle for power analysed clearly these 2 power blocks.

The Liberal and progressive Northerners who will do everything for the unity and progress of Nigeria.

This is the power block of Mallam Saidu Zungur, the first Hausa man to go to school in the south,Yabatech,Lagos.

Zungur would later radicalize his student Aminu kano, with whom they formed What would later be NPC.

Disagreements with the Saudauna and his followers on principles, made Zungur to form NEPU where he brought in his student, Mallam Aminu Kano to head.

The followers of Saidu Zungur and  Aminu kano are still fighting the battle for the liberation of the Talakawas  that they started in the 50s upto date.

This is the Progressive North that any serious Southerner will work with to to get power.

Then the Irredendists extremists northerners, who will do everything to ensure the North retains power just for the sake of being in control, who will use religion, culture and any negativity to retain power.

The latter North is what Tinubu and Amaechi helped foist on the whole Country.

Buhari was rejected  several times by the former North. But Tinubu and Amaechi naively, deceived Nigerians into putting it in power. The consequences are here for everybody to see.

How will the people remove this worse section of the North from power and reposition Nigeria unto the road of recovery?

My next intervention will proffer the way foward after a presidential candidate has emerged from the APC,hoping,he will not be part of this same North.

Peter Obi’s acceptance speech as labour candidate.

Let Us Return Nigeria to Their Rightful Owners

I thank Nigerians; especially members of the Labour Party who have gathered here since yesterday to partake in the primaries to choose the person that will fly Labour flag in the forthcoming National election to choose the President of Nigeria.

History beckons. Nigerians remain hopeful for a national rebirth, which implies returning Nigeria to Nigerians –   farmers, teachers and students, lecturers, artisans, workers, pensioners and over a hundred million poor Nigerians who are not sure where their next meal will come from.

Therefore, what you are doing today is a patriotic duty towards seeking the desired political emancipation of our dear country, which stands wounded by many years of cumulative leadership failure.

Painfully, our current dysfunctional system rewards unearned income and conspicuous consumption; allows university lecturers to remain on strike for months; keep our youths at home; and owe pensioners, who gave their patriotic sweat and their youthful energy to serve this country.

The despicable contrast is that those responsible for the mess -those elected to take care of them - have abandoned the national currency and are living in opulence and like kings, spend dollars to buy delegates as well as houses all over the world.Meanwhile, they owe most workers, lecturers and retirees.

Yes, our country stands hijacked by forces of retrogression. We are almost zero in all indices of development. As a result, our future, especially those of the youth and generations unborn is in ruins. We have become a laughing stock among other nations, including African countries where we were once revered.

As a party that represents the workers and masses of this great nation, we are people organised and working for our economic rebirth.  As I am nominated today, I humbly proclaim that the journey towards the emancipation of the country has begun.

I note with humility that the journey is going to be a collective one that will certainly require the cooperation of critical stakeholders in our country, especially the youth, whose future has been thoroughly degraded.

I therefore thank all of you and call for your sustained support towards returning Nigeria to Nigerians from forces of bad leadership and retrogression. Such a noble tasks brooks no conscientious objectors.

I hardly use war metaphors for political analysis due to my belief that politics is not adversarial and not war. However permit me a little indulgence here, to relate what we are embarking on to the ancient battle of Thermopylae, where the Greek forces, conscious of fighting for the life of Greece held on against great odds in the defence of their country.

In the battle to re-take Nigerian, the odds are great and seemingly insurmountable, but with our commitment, patriotism and understanding that we are doing, what we are supposed to do for our country, lest she shall die, we shall move on discontent with what is and focused on enthroning what ought to be. In doing this, our battle cry shall remain: get your PVC and become part of this great libration!

Our governance mission will be twin-tracked. Secure Nigeria in every ramification: national security, human security, food security and tackling insecurity created by unemployment.

We will also seek to unite our nation by pulling our people out of poverty, and creating a new sense of nationalism and patriotism. Nigeria shall rise again: and her people will be proud to claim ownership of her patrimony. Doing so is in our collective national interest.

As I earnestly thank Nigerians for their faith in me. In the days ahead I will publish our governance manifesto, which will spell out our top governance priorities.  I assure you that no region; state, local government or communities will be left behind.

I also assure you all that the struggle continues and that victory is certainly in sight towards the guarantee of a meaningful future for our youths and making this country a respected and viable member of a 21st century world, that places high value on production over consumption.

God bless you all and God bless Nigeria.

how to make a girl fall in love with you

How To Make A Girl Fall In Love With You

There’s no magic formula to cure a broken heart, that’s for sure. On the flip side, there isn’t a love potion that I know of that’s going to make someone fall for you.

What you can do is increase the odds you will get the girl you want by following these expert and practically proven tips.

HOW TO MAKE A GIRL FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU

1. OPEN YOUR EARS

Girls like a man that’s going to listen to their problems and when you open your ears and let them talk, you are one step up on any other guy in pursuit. Make sure you don’t push her to make a decision. She just wants you to listen so she can work it out.

Of course if she asks for your advice, you should give it. Just make sure you aren’t pushing too hard with it or she’ll close the door fast.

2. GIVE HER COMPLIMENTS

Who doesn’t like a nice compliment now and then? Just please don’t give her fake praise or she will kick your butt to the curb fast. Make sure the compliment is genuine and sincere and not too deep.

If you overdo it, I can guarantee this pointer will backfire big time.

Flatter her a little and she will reward you handsomely.

3. SUPPORT HER ROYALLY

Think of this like you might a cheerleader. You need to show her you will be there to encourage her on and support her in her daily battles. This doesn’t mean you have to agree with everything she does and says, that would make you a pushover puppet.

However, you should show her you appreciate and respect her for her life choices. That’s just plain magical in the dating game.

4. DON’T BE AFRAID TO PLAY THE CHIVALRY CARD

This is where you are going to capture her attention and rock her world. Too many guys today seem to forget their manners. When you treat a lady properly, it will never ever go out of style.

Open the door for her. Pull out her chair. Give her your coat on a chilly evening.

When you show her she’s worth being treated specially, you will be squeezing your way into her heart for all the right reasons. Give it a shot! You’ve got nothing to lose.

5. GIVE HER ALL OF YOUR ATTENTION

I know this one isn’t so easy considering the technology we’ve got to our fingertips. If you are serious about showing this girl you deserve to have her fall in love with you, then you need to keep all eyes on her.

This means putting your phone away and definitely not watching other girls walk into the room.

You will come across as a prick if you can’t give her your full attention. The choice is yours.

6. TELL HER HOW MUCH YOU ENJOY SPENDING TIME WITH HER

This can come in all sorts of different shapes and forms. You can tell her face to face that you really enjoy hanging out with her. Another route is to drop her a text or email to make sure she knows that she’s on your mind.

Or you can drop her a line on social media. You just want to make it crystal clear that you like being with her. She needs to know that if you are going to be successful making her fall in love with you.

7. NURTURE THE LOVE

You need to stand out and in order to do this, you’ve got to take care of the little things. Give her flowers or some sort of surprise just because. Don’t wait until a special occasion to show her how you feel.

This will help to make her feel loved and appreciated and that’s a direct route to making her fall in love with you. End of story.

8. MR. CLEAN IS A GOOD THING

Truth be told, if you are leaving your dirty socks on the floor and the sink filled with your dishes, you are killing the romance.

Girls like it clean and that means you need to make every effort to clean up after yourself and not leave it to her, no matter what she says.

You should know by now that girls say one thing and mean another more often than not.

Like it or lump it because that’s just the way it is.

9. MUSIC MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER

There’s just something about a man that sings. Girls go crazy over it. Guess there’s just something about a bad boy rock star. This doesn’t mean you have to be a rocker to get a girl. But if you’ve got some singing skills in your back pocket, that’s a good thing.

If not, just show her you are passionate in some other genre. Passion is perfect when combined with love.

10. FUNNY IS IN

When you show a girl you can be light hearted and funny, you are one step closer to getting her walls down so you can jump in.

Laughter is the best medicine and when you show a girl you can be funny, or at least try, you will get into her heart and mind fast.

So let loose and get a little silly if you are serious about getting the girl for keeps.

11. PLAY IT COOL

The very last thing a girl wants is a high strung man that just can’t play it cool. If you show her you’ve got the innate ability to diffuse spicy situations and shrug off the small things, you are going to show her straight up she’d be crazy not to fall in love with you.

Just trust me on this one please.

12. CONNECT WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY

You are certified crazy if you don’t think this girls friends and family aren’t going to influence her decision to open up to you or not.

If you can get in the good books with her loved ones, she will get the encouragement she needs to fall in love with you.

Let her family and friends work for you in your quest. Having an outside source tell you that you should be with a guy really is magical.

13. KEEP IT POSITIVE

If you don’t have anything nice to say about her friends and family, make sure you keep it to yourself. One of the worst things you can do is dish the people she loves and is connected with.

Negativity gets you nowhere fast, just saying.

14. STEP AWAY FROM TIME TO TIME

The last thing you want to do is show this special girl that you have nothing but her. That makes you out to be needy and insecure and that’s definitely not what you want.

Sure, it’s important that you show her she is special to you. But you don’t need to make her your everything just yet. Take the time to hang out with other people and that alone will make her fall hard for you.

That just forces her to work for your attention and that’s needed in the relationship world.

15. SLOW AND STEADY DOES WIN THE RACE

Life is often way too fast. We are always so busy wanting to do more in less time. Take a step back from time to time and slow the pace. Turn the music up and give her a slow dance whenever you feel the urge.

That’s just romantically thoughtful and she will love it on every level.

16. TIMING IS VITAL

When you are on time, you are showing her that you respect her time. Just don’t show up late for a date, no matter what. Of course there are the inevitable that pop up and make it pretty much impossible for you to be on time, but they should be the exception to the rules.

Do whatever it takes to make sure you are punctual and that magic will unfold.

17. FAMILY IS VIP

When you make the time to introduce her to your family, you are showing her that she is special to you. And when you are trying to make her fall in love with you, that’s golden.

Show her off to your family and be sure to treat your family with love and respect so she can see how you will treat her in the long run.

Makes perfect sense.

18. SURPRISES ARE MAGICAL

When you take the time to surprise her, you will win your way into her heart. Shoot her a message at work to let her know you are thinking about her. Leave her a voicemail or note in her purse to make her smile.

This just reiterates the fact you are a thoughtful man that deserves her attention.

19. BE CARING

This goes without saying but when she is feeling under the weather, you need to show her you’ll take care of her. Make her soup or bring her a box of Kleenex. Do whatever you need to in order to help her feel better quickly and get back on her feet.

This is the sort of thing that shows a girl it’s about time she fell in love. Hard and fast works.

20. TOP NOTCH HYGIENE

This one is a given. If you are serious about getting a girl to fall head over heels for you, then you need to make certain you never leave the house unless you are showered, shaved, and smelling like a million bucks.

21. START TALKING

It’s natural to feel nervous around a beautiful girl. Just chill! If you allow your anxiety to get the best of you, then you might as well write the love thing off now.

Drop your guard and muster up the courage to just go talk with her. Trust me, it will be appreciated.

22. SLIP PAST THE NASTY SHIELD

More often than not, a pretty woman is witchy first when a guy gives them a compliment. Think of it as a defensive shield that’s essential to keep the pricks out.

Think about it for a minute. When a girl is hit on by oodles of guys, she’s got to figure out a way to deflect them right?

Just turn up the charm and show her you are more interesting than all the other guys. She’ll bite if it’s meant to be.

23. CONNECT WITH HER ENTOURAGE

No doubt a woman’s friends will naturally protect her from any man they believe is bad news. This means if you are ugly, creepy or just plain rude, you don’t stand a chance.

So you’ve either got to get into the good books fast or bring some eye candy with you to keep them oogling. Cute guys should do the trick keeping them busy while you go in and at least get her number.

Time to step up to the plate and whack a homer if you really want to make that girl fall in love with you.

24. TAKE ACTION TO PLAY BOTH SIDES OF THE FENCE

This is a tough one to master but where there’s a will, there’s a way!

You need to both play hard to get and show her you like her. When you balance this tightrope perfectly, it will help you win the prize.

25. CREATE THE PERFECT TEXT

Be careful here because girls tend to naturally over analyze text messages. In other words, they put them under the microscope and often make them into more than they really are. You’ve got your work cut out for you.

Think of all the texts she gets each day and your focus is to make yours stand out. Open your mind and think outside the box. Keep it short and sweet and memorable. Do that and your headed in the right direction.

26. BECOME AN EXPERT IN HITTING BACK

No worries, I’m referring to texting. When your girl shoots you a text, you need to make every effort within reason, to send one right back to her. Think tennis here.

The length of your shot and the timing is critical. Pay attention to every shot you take if you want to end up winning the girl.

27. DIVE INTO THE ROMANCE

If you want a woman to love you, then you are going to have to show her. What better way than to take the time to create a super romantic date?

Think of what she likes and appreciates and build from there. Make sure there’s some flirting and fun and lots going on so boredom has zero chance of getting into the picture.

Nail this one and you’ll get to nail her too, if you haven’t already.

28. SET UP FOLLOWUPS

If you want to keep the love momentum rolling, you’re going to need to set up more dates. Don’t expect her to give it up or become totally comfortable with you until at a least the 3rd or 4th date.

In other words, you’ve got to work for it. And when you give her something to look forward to down the road, you are showing her you’ve got a vested interest in her and that’s magical.

Keep her busy and you are the only one she will have time to focus on. Need I say more?

29. GREAT LOVEMAKING IS ESSENTIAL

Of course this depends on where you are in building your relationship. Something you don’t ever want to forget is you need to make amazing love to her. This means lots of kissing and cuddling and not running out the door shortly after.

If you do that, you’ll make her feel cheap and used and there’s seriously no love in that scenario.

Slow and steady wins the race. The longer, the better.

30. BE PATIENT FOR “WHAT ARE WE?”

If you are serious about making this girl fall for you, she needs to be the one pushing to know where you stand. When she asks this question, it’s time to make sure you solidify the fact you are her boyfriend and you want to take your relationship to the next level.

Step by step you will get there if you play your cards right.

31. DEAL WITH HER IMPERFECTIONS

No matter how hot you think she is, everyone has imperfections. If she gets a little emotionally crazy, just deal with it. When she decides she doesn’t want to wear makeup, you better support her.

And no matter what, you are best to ignore your innate need to flirt with other women. Just don’t please.

32. TELL HER YOU LOVE HER

This is a tough one for many guys because it makes you vulnerable and opens the door to possible rejection.

Usually, it’s the girl that says the L word first but not always.

Put it all out there and tell her you love her and she’s going to fall head over heels in love with you.

33. SHE’S GOT TO FEEL OUT OF CONTROL

If you want a woman to fall for you, then you need to gain the power hand in the relationship. Keep in mind if you are chasing her like a weak puppy, she will get bored with you fast.

You need to get her chasing you a little and your love will be golden.

34. ELUSIVE TAKES THE CAKE

The guy needs to be the one that starts and finishes communication. She needs to be the one reaching out to you and you can get back to her here and there.

Make sure she knows she isn’t your everything. But on the flip side, she still needs to feel important.

Be elusive but don’t overdo it. If you aren’t ever there for her, there’s no way she can fall in love with you.

35. BE MYSTERIOUS

You don’t have to answer every question she asks. In fact, when you are a little vague or mysterious, you are going to draw her in for more. When a girl’s curiosity is peaked, she will look for ways to peel your layers and gain more connection.

You can take it from here.

36. CREATE ADDICTION

When you can become her addiction or better yet obsession, you’ve just sealed the deal. Never forget that girls are great at playing the game so you need to be wary and cautious.

In order for you to create addiction, you need to drop off the radar from time to time and master the art of slipping back in unannounced.

37. CHALLENGING IS GOOD

We all like a challenge. Keep in mind, as humans, we always want what we don’t have. Use this to your advantage.

Don’t be afraid to challenge her and be a challenge. It will help you make her fall for you pronto

After Anambra state governor, Charles Soludo visited Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody

After Anambra state governor, Charles Soludo visited Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody

as part of his hunt for peace, Simon Ekpa who has his own armed ESN militia for which he keeps raising money and leads a group known as the 'Auto-pilot' which claims to be agitating for Biafra, made a live broadcast threatening fire and brimstone against Soludo. Less than 24 hours later (yesterday, Sunday 15th), mayhem was unleashed on major parts of Anambra state:

Onitsha federal housing, 33 and GRA came under attack by Ungun Known Men. Idemmili North L.G headquarters, PHCN and Magistrate court were set afire while a sitting house of Assembly member representing governor Soludo's own constituency was kidnapped.

At this point, we just have to tell ourselves the truth:

What is going on in the Southeast especially Anambra state IS NO LONGER BIAFRA AGITATION. IT IS PURE TERR0RISM. And governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo MUST TREAT IT AS SUCH. Simon Ekpa is simply a job man working for some interest to destabilise Anambra state. He doesn't really care about Biafra and neither does he care about Nnamdi Kanu. He is simply using Biafra agitation as a cover to ply his ev!l trade.

Another uncomfortable truth we have to face here is, Simon Ekpa is pursuing a certain dark agenda against Anambra as a state. If you can't see this, you really haven't been paying attention.

In the entire Southeast, there is no governor that is more Fuulani-friendly and anti-Biafra than Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi state, Simon Ekpa's home state. But how many times have you heard Ekpa attack Ebonyi state or the governor the way he does Soludo and Anambra??

As earlier as 2017, at a time most Igbo people were scared to be linked to Kanu, Soludo, as a member of a foremost Igbo Think Tank, Nzuko Umunna to which I belong, led a delegation made up of prof. Chidi Odinkalu, Tony Nnadi , Law Mefor et al to visit the IPOB leader in Kuje prison on behalf of the Think Tank group. They thereafter addressed a World Press conference categorically telling the FG that while the Igbos agree that Kanu is not above the law, they would also not sit back and watch him treated beneath the law. Since assuming office, Soludo has pandered to the agitating groups more than any other Southeast governor. He has called for Kanu's release. He has even visited him. And remember, Soludo was not in power when python dance happened so he couldn't have been a part of the governors who mismanaged the Biafra agitation

So why exactly is Simon Ekpa so fixated on Soludo and Anambra state? The answer is simple; Ekpa is not interested in Biafra or Kanu's release. In fact, he wants Kanu to r0t in jail so he could take over. For him, THIS IS PURE BUSINESS. USING NNAMDI KANU'S OWN PLAYBOOK AND BLUEPRINT of violent rhetorics, puerile propaganda, paranoia and foolhardiness of insisting on self-destructive path which majority of the mob interpret as being CONSISTENT, the Ebonyi-born finnish ex-soldier has almost succeeded with his soft coup against IPOB leadership led by Chika Edoziem and Emma Powerful. Now, majority of the mob who saw the agitation as a class warfare and would love to see everything destr0yed so we could all start afresh, now listen to him. And with his own armed ESN and a radio channel, it appears his coup is almost complete. Now he gets to collects donation directly from diasporan Igbos WHO ARE MAINLY THE ONES FUNDING THIS VIOLENCE thinking they are supporting Biafra and still collect from his real masters.

A betting man would bet that having seen Soludo's intimidating plans to transform Anambra, some outside interest may have hired Simon Ekpa to destabilise the state and make sure the governor is never allowed to focus on development. As it happens, I am a betting man. Remember, Ekpa is a politician in Finland. Matter of fact, he contested the last election in that country. After IPOB repeatedly cancelled the Monday sit-at-home and even Nnamdi Kanu himself spoke against the sit-at-home through his lawyers, it was the same Ekpa who continued to insist it must go on despite the unmentionable cost in human and material resources Igbos have suffered as a result of that moronic policy. It was Ekpa who was against the Anambra election even after IPOB saw reason and reverse its 'No-Election' order. The k!ll!ng of INEC staff member in Imo was hailed by Ekpa and his Autopilot.

What else do we need to know that this Simon Ekpa is actually working against the collective interest of Ndigbo???

OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL DATE: MONDAY 16TH 2022 THEME: THE GOD OF ABRAHAM

 OPEN HEAVEN DEVOTIONAL

DATE:  MONDAY 16TH 2022

THEME:    THE GOD OF ABRAHAM

MEMORISE:  Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. Exodus 3:6

READ: Genesis 17:1 -8

1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

MESSAGE

In the memory verse today, God introduced himself to Moses as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In Yorubaland where I’m from, the meaning of the name of a man gives you deep insight into the kind of person that fellow is. Thus, in order to get deep insight into who our God really is, we well be looking at this introduction more deeply for the next few days.

What is the implication of the fact that God is the God of Abraham? It means that He is a God of blessings (Genesis 12:1-3). In Genesis 24:34-35, Abraham’s servant said, “God has blessed my master greatly”. Also, the name “God of Abraham” tells us that He is a covenant-keeping God. Deuteronomy 7:9 tells us that He is a God who keeps covenants and we see that clearly in the case of Abraham because in Exodus 2:23-24, when the children of Israel were suffering in Egypt, the Bible says that God remembered His covenant with Abraham. This was even long after Abraham had died. Thus, in Exodus 3:6-12, God decided to do something about the liberation of the children of Israel from Egypt.

The God of Abraham is the God of blessings. Therefore, if you serve the God of Abraham, then you are entitled to the blessings of Abraham.

Somehow, some Christians are not enjoying these blessings. The reason may be linked to what God told Abraham in Genesis 17:1:

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

God had made a covenant with Abraham for over 25 years, but it wasn’t until Abraham began to walk before God perfectly that it took effect. Genesis 21:5 tells us that Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born, just a little above 9 months after God told him to be perfect. Believe me honestly, if you start living holy, the blessings of Abraham will pursue and overtake you. Those ‘little sins’ you still commit will keep on hindering God’s promises from coming to pass in your life if you don’t stop them right away. Those little foxes are spoiling your vine; get rid of them now!

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezra 8- Nehemiah 1

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE

HYMN 21: STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD

1 Standing on the promises of Christ my King,

Through eternal ages let His praises ring,

Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,

Standing on the promises of God.

Standing, standing,

Standing on the promises of God my Savior;

Standing, standing,

I’m standing on the promises of God.

2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail,

When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,

By the living Word of God I shall prevail,

Standing on the promises of God.

3 Standing on the promises I now can see

Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;

Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,

Standing on the promises of God.

4 Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,

Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,

Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,

Standing on the promises of God.

5 Standing on the promises I shall not fall,

List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call.

Resting in my Savior as my All in all,

Standing on the promises of God.

PETER OBI: The promising candidate and  waiting game of would-be supporters

By Chidiebere Nwobodo

"People who stand in the middle of the road get run over"

           Rush Limbaugh

As at today, if opinion poll is conducted, Peter Obi is the leading presidential aspirant among the declared aspirants in the two major political parties. Yemi Osinbajo could have been competing with Obi on this pedestal but the vice president's ignoble role in the present administration gravely punctured his popularity. He cannot extricate himself from Buhari's colossal failure of leadership.

Peter Obi's popularity is growing like a wildlife because some Nigerians have started accepting the hard truth—Nigeria is in dire strait; the nation is dithering and tethering towards a collapse, and only someone in Peter Obi's capacity and competence will lead the rescue mission post-2023 general elections.

A lot of enthusiastic Nigerians have expressed readiness to go the whole hog and extra mile to campaign for Peter Obi, only if PDP will give him its ticket. So, Nigerians who are of this school of thought, are sitting on the fence praying that Peter Obi emerges the PDP's flag bearer before they will go full length to market his personality and political ideology.

Then the million-dollar question is: who is the PDP? The PDP is the leading opposition political party made up of Nigerians. The PDP is not composed of aliens. The delegates and those that influence delegates during presidential primary are not foreigners, but Nigerians as well who read our opinions cum analyses on social and mainstream media. They also have felt excruciating pain of bad governance in the last seven years, like every other Nigerian.

In essence, if you truly believe in Peter Obi's presidency as what the nation needs today to stop progressing in error and start revolutionary recovery process, you have to get to work now. If Peter Obi's supporters can overwhelm Nigerians with the possibility and practicability of his presidency in solving myriads of woes bedeviling the nation, before the presidential primary slated for end of May, 2022, the PDP, being a party that wants to return to power, won't have option but to join the momentum.

But if you're waiting for Peter Obi to battle the moneybags, of which some of them are veterans in presidential primaries, let me bring you bad news—we will end up having uninspiring cum uninteresting candidates presented to us to choose between the devil and deep blue sea.

Nigerians who have faith in Peter Obi's philosophy of governance, must let the PDP understand that, among its aspirants as at today, only a Peter Obi can motivate Nigerians to go out in the streets to campaign for the PDP and defend its votes to return to power. Peter Obi is not popular with some of the political elite class because he does not believe in sharing government funds.

The political merchants who see every election cycle as opportunity to get slush funds, will never support a Peter Obi to clinch the ticket. To them, politics is their major means of economic survival. So, if you want a Peter Obi candidature, there is no time to stand in the middle of the road—you have to take side now, risk your desired candidate being run over.

It is your little support, together with that of others like you, will make the PDP choose Peter Obi as its candidate. And once he emerges as the PDP candidate, the moneybags and the political elite club will key in, because nothing will stop an idea whose time has come.

There is no time to sit on the fence. If you believe in Peter Obi and what he can do for us, our children and generations of Nigerians unborn, the defining moment of great decision has beckoned. Spread the message.
